Bluetti Elite 100 V2 detailed DC input specs

If you are looking at a Bluetti Elite 100 V2 and are curious for more information about the DC inputs. On the site the listed specs are 12v-60 20A. Which implies that you could get the full 20A at as low as 12vdc and as high as 60vdc. This isn’t the case. This is the answer I got from their tech support:

“The EL100V2 features a “PV-Pro mode.” If this mode is disabled, the unit will limit the input current to 8A whenever the DC input voltage falls below 30V; this is a safeguard designed to prevent the vehicle’s cigarette lighter fuse from blowing when the unit is being charged via a car outlet. If you enable “PV-Pro mode,” this 8A current limit is lifted for DC input voltages between 16V and 30V, allowing the unit to draw higher input power when connected to low-voltage solar panels.”

Summary: With PV-Pro disabled: Any voltage from 12-30Vdc is capped to 8A. From 96 watts to 240 watts.
With PV-Pro enabled: 12-16v is still limited to 8a (96-128 watts). however from 16 up, higher current is allowed. It might be the full 20A, or it could be reduce. If the full 20A then 16-30vdc would let you accept between 320 - 600 watts.

Note: The unit is also limited to 1000 watts input regardless of amps. So at 60V, current is limited to 16.7A

Hope that helps someone else.
