Boafeng radios are such a great value in amateur radio, but they definitely prove the axiom that you get what you pay for.
I’ve like my UV-17R, its more weather resistant, it has a clearer display and its got a usb-c charged battery. What mine also has was a rattle. I kinda assumed it was something in the light module on the bottom. Everything work, no complaints, but I decided to finally pull it apart to see what was up. Well, it wasn’t the light.
Well, I found the rattle. Thats not supposed to be in there. I looked to see what came unscrewed and nothing. It’s just an extra screw in there. Honestly Im amazing it hasn’t caused a short considering it was just rolling around
